Access and Confidentiality for Business Visits in China

Factories, company headquarters and industrial parks are not open to the public, and they are not listed in any directory. Whether a group is received depends on the company. This page says what PreeChina agrees with the organiser before a group travels.

Who opens the door

The parts of the supply chain that make components, tooling and consumer goods receive foreign groups more readily than the research lines of well-known manufacturers, which are the most visited and the most guarded. A programme is honest about which it is. Usually arrangeable — contact PreeChina to confirm and book.

Mutual NDA and the target list

  • A mutual non-disclosure agreement is signed before the target list is shared.
  • The target list is not passed to anyone outside the planning team.
  • Nothing about a client or its interests is published on this site.

What may be photographed

Each site sets its own rules, and many allow no photography on the production floor. PreeChina asks in advance and briefs the group on the rules for each site before arrival. A group follows the site's rule even when a guide would allow more.

Sensitivities on both sides

Visits by foreign groups to advanced manufacturing can be sensitive on both sides: export controls, entity lists, and the host company's concern about technical detail. Personal contacts do not remove that. PreeChina sets out the rules for the programme before it is priced, so that the group knows what it can ask and what it should not.

Who this is not for

  • A group that needs access to a named company that has declined. PreeChina cannot arrange what a company refuses.
  • A group that plans to film or publish what it sees without each host's consent.
