Booking and Payment

How a booking is confirmed, what is paid and when, and what is refunded if plans change. The same terms apply to private tours, student group tours and business group tours.

Booking

From a draft to a confirmed trip

Priced itinerary. PreeChina sends a priced itinerary that lists what is included. On a private tour it states one per-person price. On a group tour it states the per-person ground service fee and lists the hotels, meals, transport and tickets as separate lines.
Agree. You confirm the itinerary. Nothing is booked before this.
Invoice and deposit. PreeChina issues an invoice. On a private tour a deposit of 30% of the price secures the dates and the bookings. On a group tour the deposit is 30% of the ground service fee.
Advance bookings, group tours. Hotels, transport, attractions and other items that must be booked in advance are paid in advance, for the amount actually booked. Nothing is added for PreeChina paying a supplier on the group's behalf.
Confirmation. The booking is confirmed once the deposit is verified.
Balance. The remaining 70% of the price, or of the ground service fee on a group tour, is paid within two days after arrival in China.

Payment

Methods and currencies

Deposit

The deposit is paid by international telegraphic transfer (T/T). Bank details are sent with the invoice and are not published on this site. Advance bookings on a group tour are paid the same way.

Balance

The balance is paid by telegraphic transfer or in cash.

Currencies

US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Chinese yuan, Japanese yen, Hong Kong dollar, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar and Singapore dollar. Other currencies can be arranged on request.

Cancellation

Refunds are calculated on the deposit paid

Approved refunds are paid within seven business days of the cancellation being confirmed. Losses that arise from changes to flight or train tickets already issued are deducted from the refund. Events outside anyone's control are handled case by case, in discussion with you.

What the price covers, for each kind of trip

Private tours

The per-person price includes the English-speaking guide, the ground service, and the hotels, transport and meals set out in the itinerary, with the attraction tickets listed in it.

Group tours, student and business

The per-person ground service fee covers the English-speaking guide, the ground service, and PreeChina's coordination of the hotel and transport bookings and the meal arrangements. It does not cover the cost of the hotels, meals, transport or tickets. The group pays those, directly to the suppliers or through PreeChina, which coordinates the payment and can pay on the group's behalf, with no handling fee. The priced itinerary lists each of them as a separate line.

Never included

International flights, travel insurance, personal shopping, and upgrades to a higher specification than the one agreed. Upgrades are priced when they are asked for.
