Why This Route

Four Parks, One City

Shanghai has four of the 40 theme parks on the PreeChina theme map, from a Disney resort to a LEGOLAND that opened in 2025. They sit in different districts and are separate visits rather than one resort.

This route plans a day for each major park and adds the Shanghai to Hangzhou corridor for a fifth stop, Hangzhou Songcheng Show Park. See the Theme parks theme map for all 40 parks, and the Shanghai city guide for the rest of the city.

Opened in 2016. One of two Disney resorts in China; it is separate from Hong Kong Disneyland, with different lands and a different castle.

Opened in 2025. Merlin Entertainments runs the park under licence from the LEGO Group.

Opened in 2009. Part of the Happy Valley chain run by OCT Group, which began in Shenzhen in 1998.

Hangzhou Songcheng Show Park (杭州宋城)

Hangzhou, Zhejiang

Opened in 1996. A cultural park with performance shows, reached from Shanghai by high-speed rail.
