In 759 Du Fu fled the An Lushan rebellion to Sichuan and built a thatched cottage beside Huanhua Stream, where he lived for close to four years and wrote over 240 poems. He wrote "My Thatched Roof Is Wrecked by the Autumn Wind" here.
