Everyday Leisure: Opera, Storytelling and Choirs

Amateur singers meet in park corridors and old teahouses to work through the arias, and a lot of it is free. Several of these forms are sung in dialect, which matters more than the ticket price.

Northwest China (西北)

WatchingQinqiang Opera (Yisu Theater / City Wall Park Amateur Troupe) (秦腔(易俗社/环城公园自乐班))Qinqiang is the loud one. Being There on the Right Evening
